Virtual Attendance, Real Wine!
We invite you to join us for a "Virtual Wine Tasting” (with real wine!), a fundraiser co-hosted by the eClub and Schlossadler International Wines. This event will feature both a winemaker and wines from Italy. The winemaker will give us an insight into the wines being tasted. This event is a fundraiser for the eClub grant project benefiting Kid's Kupboard in the Mat Su Valley.
You may already know about Kid's Kupboard, but if not, it is a non-profit organization helping to feed young people in Alaska with the belief that no child should ever go hungry. Kids Kupboard provide fresh healthy meals to hundreds of kids who may not otherwise get a good meal. They have been feeding kids since 2008 and the eClub’s project will support the purchase of a commercial refrigeration unit for the expanded capacity of meals Kids Cupboard is now serving. This fundraiser is a great way to enjoy sensational wines from Europe while also helping Kids Kitchen to provide food for Alaska kids through support of this Rotary project.
This opportunity is unique as Schlossadler International Wines are not found in local stores as they are handpicked from small wineries within Europe. Schlossadler seeks out small estate wineries, boutique and family-owned vineyards. Their inventory includes one of the most extensive selections of European wines in the United States.
Here’s how the virtual tasting will work (yes, you will taste wine!): Hans, who owns and operates Schlossadler International Wines, will provide 3 different bottles of wine to attendees to taste during the virtual wine tasting. Hans and the winemaker will tell you more about the wine and its origin during the event. Three (3) bottles of wine (per couple) will be provided. For those of you who live in Anchorage or the Valley, these wines will be available for you to pick up from a downtown Anchorage location before the tasting. If you live outside of this area, please let us know so that we can send the wine to you in time. After registration, you’ll be provided with the virtual wine tasting ZOOM link to log in from your own home for the tasting.
As seating is limited, please RSVP as soon as possible to reserve your place and to ensure that you receive your wine in time for the tasting.
