Schools in Kotzebue, Whitehorse and Toronto to be linked by storytellers. A Rotary Service project supporting literacy and basic education
The District 5010 e-Club Alaska-International is delighted to announce that its Sharing our Stories project linking schools in Kotzebue AK, Toronto ON and Whitehorse YK is approved for District funding. A committee of club members has been formed to help guide the project and more information is forthcoming. The basic idea would entail the creation of a series of 20 minute instruction videos that would initially introduce the schools to one another. Another series of videos will focus on items specific to Northern culture as well as life in the South. This exciting opportunity of getting to know one another is already spinning off many more ideas...watch this space!
