Happy Bucks and Feed Back

February was a fairly slow month for Happy Bucks and other sharing moments, with one member and one visitor adding their "2 cents" (or more).  Can we challenge for a better March?

Feed Back from our 21 Feb meeting:

My first time with your e club.  I’m in Dallas and enjoyed your meeting.  The video clip on the Human Cost of War was especially good.  It needs to be required reading for our leaders.

This meeting was a good preparation for the celebration of the 111th birthday of Rotary!  The idea of one man and a couple of colleagues that has changed the world.

What does it take to change the world? We and 1,200,000 other Rotarians in 35,000 clubs around the world believe that we must begin with a commitment to "Service Above Self ."

Here in Zacatecas, Mexico we are involved in with an organization that prompts

CIOFF® is an Official Partner of UNESCO, accredited to the UNESCO ICH Committee that is safeguarding, promotion and diffusion of traditional culture and folklore serving the cause of peace and non-violence through the implementation.  And I was reminded of the Rotary and UN connections. Rotary’s work in promoting peace through education began as early as 1943 with a London conference on international, cultural, and educational exchanges. Working under the premise that “war begins in the minds of men,” the conference was attended by ministers of education and observers
from around the world and was an early inspiration for UNESCO, established
in 1946.

A thought to share with the CIOFF® Council during the Spring meeting.

Make us proud to be chosen to be part of this and the service of each of
the 1,200,000 Rotarians worldwide.
